Now that the ground breaking ceremony is in the history books, Cumberland Academy is well under way to completing our new state-of-the art facility. In addition to the new facility, the Board has decided to enhance the educational experience of our students by transforming our existing school into an iSchool. Our iSchool will combine performing arts, state-of-the-art Apple technology, and a digital curriculum to create a unique and innovative learning environment for our students. Beginning August, 2010, every Cumberland Academy student will have access to an Apple laptop computer and will be offered classes in choir, violin, and dance. The new 38,000 sq ft. facility will be located at the corner of Shiloh Road and Chad Drive directly west of Hubbard Middle School. Map
Cumberland is now accepting applications for students in grades K-5 who want to attend for the fall 2010 school year. Tuition is free and class sizes will be small with a maximum of 15 students in kindergarten, 16 in 1st grade and 19 in grades 3-5. So don’t delay in submitting your application(s).
